We had a 2007 PT. Cruiser with a non-turbo 2.4L that lost the fins from the Water Pump. We discovered this when we were changing the Timing Belt at 102,000 Miles. We changed the Water Pump and the Timing Belt but never thought any more about the fins. The Radiator and entire coolant system was like rusted soup! We started flushing the coolant system with other well-known brands of coolant flush but never could get the system to clear! Even the Heater Core was 100 percent blocked! We removed the hoses connected to the Heater Core and rigged some hoses so we could blow air through the Heater Core and eventually removed the blockage which appeared to be metal parts (fins) from the water pump. We were in a desperate search for a rust remover that could do the job and discovered Thermocure. Ordered the 32oz. bottle and followed the instructions given. When we drained the system after the first treatment, the rusty color water had turned to black. We drained it, added distilled water then drained that. The color was still not clear! So we used the rest of the Thermocure and repeated the entire operation once again. After adding the distilled water the second time and draining it we noticed the water was clear! At last, we had a product that did everything they said it would do! When we were done I told my Son I want to sell this product online so others don't waste their money on the other brand removers as I did! I swear by Evapo-Rust!
